About

The proud daughter of a veteran and herself a cancer survivor, Alexis Riley has experienced firsthand how difficult it is to navigate the complex legal jargon and bureaucracy within the VA, the American health care and insurance systems, and the judicial system. These experiences, in large part, inspired her to become a lawyer, so she could help provide people the advocacy and representation they deserve.

MEET ALEXIS

Alexis has over 10 years of legal experience, including seven as a Law Clerk in the New York State Unified Court System. She currently serves as the Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Wayne P. Saitta.

Alexis received her law degree from New York Law School. Shortly after graduation, Alexis worked for Barack Obama’s 2012 Presidential campaign.

Like many young attorneys, Alexis began her career in corporate law. However, driven by a sense of social responsibility and a desire to positively impact the community, Alexis decided to transition to public service and began working in the New York State Unified Court System where she has been able to use her legal expertise to address systemic issues and provide accessible legal assistance to those who may not otherwise have the means.

Alexis resides in Clinton Hill where she has been an active community leader for over 18 years. Alexis is proudly a member of numerous Democratic clubs and community groups throughout Brooklyn and NYC. A strong believer in the importance of education and mentoring the next generation of leaders, Alexis has also spent over eight years as an Adjunct Professor at Pace University and Long Island University - Brooklyn.
